Interpretation

Standard

We can’t know what’s right for everyone.
Sometimes we don’t even know what’s right for ourselves.
It’s not our job to interpret right or wrong,
to find some magical
universally applicable
formulaic response
for all people in all situations.
When we interpret,
we might misinterpret.
Let us instead fully commit to presence,
to being right here, right now
in the fullness of this moment.
We might discover that compassion
takes great strength
and patience
tremendous self-restraint.
We might set down our old shells
and stand naked in this now moment
finally able to see
the soft fullness of our own essence,
awakening at just the right time,
space and sequence.
