Let your practice be comprised of three aspects:
1)Notice when you’ve become neurotic and reactive,
2)Try to respond in a way different from your normal responses
3)Remind yourself to continue noticing and responding differently–
this is the work of a lifetime.
The hardest part is noticing
when you’ve lost it,
but if you are ever to be free,
you’ll need to wake up to the
ways you spin out of control
and then choose to stop the spinning.
No one said you had to be perfect.
Perfection is a myth
used to sell you something.
Just keep practicing:

Your whole life
becomes a sacred practice,
a blessed path to awakening.
