Allow It All In

Standard

When we choose in meditation
to allow it all in,
the sights, the sounds, the smells,
the sensations in our bodies,
when we allow ourselves
to just experience
what this moment is bringing us,
then we can choose the same
post meditation.
As we sit
we train in stillness,
in open acceptance
of whatever arises,
we breathe.
And then we can bring
this sacred breath,
this blessed stillness with us.
And even if it lasts
for a fraction of a second,
that’s okay.
We can take small steps
along the path
and eventually
we will all convene
in the center
of this one moment.
Eventually
we will all come back home
to ourselves,
back home to simple being.
