The Dark Side of My Mind

Standard

Standing at the bottom
Of a huge dark pit
Looking up,
seeing a pinprick of light
How did I get down here?
How will I get back up there?
Everything looks so bleak
Everything is a struggle.
Friend,
lend me a light and a ladder.
I don’t want to stay down here forever.

  1. When one gets down in that pit, it is the perfect time to come up with plan B to live the rest of our lives. If plan A would’ve worked, we wouldn’t have been there! Just the thought of bringing more meaning to life makes things become better than before.

    • I find personally that it’s hard to think of plans when I’m down there. Everything becomes so much more foggy. Perhaps creating different plans before falling into the pit, and then having someone at the top waving them at me would help. šŸ™‚

      • Hmm then what u could do is to look up for people who are going through/went through the same issue that u are facing/faced. We can learn from other people’s examples, but those people have to be positive and inspirational. They must be the ones that do good. šŸ™‚ To find such people is for sure a difficult thing to do, but it can be done. In Shaa Allah!

      • Ah, point well taken. Thank you friend. I am truly grateful for those who have gone before me and who have learned from their own experiences of adversity. I trust the wisdom coming from these people, because it is grounded in authentic experience. Thanks again for your insights. ā¤ šŸ™‚
