Ask Yourself This Question

How does it feel to breathe deeply here?
Ask yourself this question,
and then answer it
by taking a deep breath.
How does it feel to exhale completely here?
Ask yourself this question,
and then answer it
by breathing out all the way.
Just keep asking yourself those questions,
train yourself to be more aware of your breathing.
Your body, mind, and everyone around  you
will benefit from your deep, slow, mindful breathing.
You may have been in the habit your whole life
of not noticing your breath,
asleep to this miracle that goes on
whether or not you’re conscious of it–
but now it’s time to establish a new, positive habit.
Keep asking yourself these questions,
and your life will change.
What does it feel like to breathe deeply here?
