Stay Open

Standard

Stay open.
If you’re not deliberately staying open,
you are probably shutting down.
Sure, you might feel safer
hiding your light from the world,
but did you come here to live
in the darkness of your comfort bubble?
Just beyond the edges of that bubble,
your amazing potential awaits,
potential only you can fulfill.
Start by being open to the possibility
that you could stay open
and move on from there.
Take deep breaths.
If you’re feeling uncomfortable
you’ve reached the edge of your comfort zone
and now real growth can take place.
Take a stand for your open mind,
your open heart, your boundless spirit.
Live from your deepest truth,
express the soul fire that burns within you,
and as the changes come,
stay open.

Meant To Be

Standard

What can I say?
My old life crumbles all around me
and a new life begins to grow.
I’m busy mourning what I’ve lost
meanwhile
all these tiny miracles
are unfolding
all the time.
If I see a problem,
it’s time to look deeper,
and not outside of myself,
but inside.
Deeper still
and the boundaries I drew
between me and the world
begin to dissolve.
Even deeper
and my entire self melts away
to be replaced
with the awareness
that all of this,
without exception,
was meant to be.

In Your Presence

Standard

In moments of challenge
we always have a choice.
Training in awareness
we can look inside our minds
and discover the space
between reactivity and responsiveness.
Instead of asking
in that whiny little voice
Why me?
Why is this happening?
Stand up, take a deep breath
and ask yourself
What do I want?
Discover the space within you
to ask the questions
and to wait for the answers
that feel right.
Now, more than ever,
this world needs us to
wake up,
question, decide, and respond.
Search for the choice
inside each challenge,
the opportunity in each setback.
As you walk this path
of awakened consciousness
you can be sure the world
glows brighter in your presence.

What Will You Make?

Standard

The Source is endless.
What you draw from it
is up to you.
It is different for everyone
for everyone is different
here in the physical realm.
But the Source is energy,
pure and simple,
and we are of it
and we are it.
If we are Source
then we stand in a position
of limitless creator
wherever we are,
whatever we are doing.
The ways we express
that which we are
depends on where
we place our focus.
If you could have, be,
make, do, experience
anything at all,
what would it be?
Sit a while.
Close your eyes,
go inwards, be still.
Let yourself find center,
always there.
Feel the energy of life
pulsing through you,
every cell alive
with intelligence and purpose.
You too are a cell
of the Universal Body.
You too are alive
with intelligence and purpose.
Now, what will you make of this?

The Way Things Are

Standard

Give life a chance to surprise you.
Follow your own star,
see where it leads you.
Everything is not what you think it is.
Drop your awareness deeper,
beyond what you think you know,
into the realms of your heart
and your gut.
This deeper listening
will open you to a world
that was always there,
but wasn’t available to you
because of the fortress of thinking
you built around you
to give you ground
in a groundless, eternal
experience of being.
Let go of any notion
of control, of a fixed reality,
of how things should be.
You might just be amazed
with things
the way that they are…

Can You Feel It?

Standard

Why wait  for something
extraordinary to happen
to be fulfilled?
Take a deep breath.
Can you feel it?
Why wait for the world
to come to its senses
to experience peace?
Exhale.
Can you feel it?
Why wait for happiness,
a sense of belonging,
inspiration,
health,
connectedness?
Just sit still and breathe.
Everything you long for
is right within you.
You are the keeper of great treasures,
wealthy beyond measure.
Don’t sit there alone, brooding, waiting,
when you can come to know
the utter beauty of love’s true joy.
Walk to the door, fling it open, step outside.
Beckon the world to come see your treasure,
dazzling with the hope and the promise
of good days to come.
Don’t wait. Share it with us now.

No Delineations

Standard

Every once in a while,
ask yourself,
Why am I here?
Get still, close your eyes,
go inside, and listen.
At first you might hear
some reasons that sound
familiar;
these are the reasons
you’ve used to tell the story
of the self you think you are.
But listen a little more deeply.
Allow a deeper why to emerge.
The personal why
and the universal why
can coexist; they can merge,
flowing into one another
with no delineations,
the way a drop of rain
joins the ocean
and can no longer be perceived
as separate.
